Let’s build a new custom battery pack for the new bobbycar 2.0
My black motorized bobbycar chassis broke completely apart in Augarten (Graz) right before we wanted to head off to the hungarian hacker camp Camp++. I already had a red bobbyquad chassis laying around and most of the parts could easily be transplated. Also the colorful bobbyquad chassis were not produced for a long time already…

Bobbycar ride: Putting speakers on trailers for mobile raves
Getting some music into the streets of Graz was one of our top priorities during the pandemic. Clubs were closed, parties and raves were shutdown and time was boring. version 1 The first rideout was done using an old moldy speaker, that was laying around in the hackerspace. It really was hazardous to health, so…

Forming a storage cluster while moving into another new flat
I am once again moving into a new flat. I have setup a special renting contract for only 6 months (which is very hard to do in austria and probably illegal). I do not plan to stay in this small flat for any longer as the flat that I have already bought is being finished…

I started writing a little tool that allows us to synchronize light shows to beats and clock intervals. It’s based on C++ and Qt https://github.com/0xFEEDC0DE64/r3ctl

Dead BMS and more charging power for the bobbycar
At the end of 2019 there has been a congress held by CCC in Leipzig. Lots of accidents have happened, the throttle and breaking pedals were toren off, the BMS died, a frontal crash with a public bench has bent the steering wheel and much more. But let the pictures speak for themself: Dead BMS…

Adding WiFi to the bobbycar and creating an ESP32 GUI library
In one of my last posts I reported that trying out new parameters like a higher speed limit, higher current limit, enabling field weaking and other changes always require me to completely disassemble the bobbycar and everytime I have to do that, I scratch my hands alot and I start bleeding. It’s about time to…
