Fixing the overheating problems of the homeserver

Remember my last post about my new homeserver, where I wondered if there will be enough air circulation for cooling the CPU?

Well turns out, the CPU was running at around 80°C for weeks now and the fans are either stuck or are rotating but practically no air is moving through. The whole design of the server is fucked.

But it turns out there is a simple solution to get the heat out efficiently and cheap:

WATER COOLING! (in my case a ARCTIC Liquid Freezer 240 for ~80€)

To make water cooling possible, I had to cut out holes for the pipes to run through with my dremel. The water cooling solution I chose is a all-in-one product which cannot be taken apart (easily).
